GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION ON RASAI, LAPO AND CHER IN SIND

” GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION ON RASAI, LAPO AND CHER IN SIND”. Government publication.

This is one of rare Document of our history. Exploitation of Upper Class by British Government functionaries was one of basic reasons to launch Movement for separation of Sindh from Bombay Presidency as Sindh Commissioner was most powerful and free to give free hand to Government functionaries.

We have hundreds of pages on the subject in Gul Hayat and this Document is one of them. It is history of victimization covering period from 1918 to 1921. This Resolution was published to guide Gazetted officers serving in Sindh. (Mumtaz Ali Pathan)

سر چارليس نيپئر سنڌ تي قبضي ڪرڻ کان پوءِ ان جو فوجي گورنر ٿيو. هو 1847 ۾ هليو ويو ت سنڌ جي صوبائي حيثيت ختم ڪري ان کي بمبئي پرڳڻي سان ملايو ويو ۽ سنڌ 1936 تائين انهيءَ حيثيت ۾ رهي. انهيءَ عرصي دوران انگريز ڪامورن سنڌي وڏيرن ۽ زميندارن جو رت چوسڻ شروع ڪيو جنهن ڪارڻ رسائي لاپي ۽ ڇيڙ جي بدعت پئي ۽ ان جو نشانو عام سنڌي ب ٿيو. رئيس غلام محمد ڀرڳڙيءَ ان خلاف آواز اٿاريو ۽ نتيجي ۾ ھڪ ڪميشن جڙي جنهن سنڌ جو دورو ڪيو ۽ اقتصادي استحصال جا انگ اکر گڏ ڪيا. جنهن جي روشنيءَ ۾ ھن ڊاڪيومينٽ جي تخليق ٿي. هي ڪتاب سرڪاري وڏن عملدارن کي هوشيار ڪرڻ لاءِ پڌرو ڪيو ويو ت اهي اهڙي زيادتي کان پاسو ڪن. هي ڊاڪيومينٽ گل حيات ۾ موجود آھي.(ممتاز علي پٺاڻ)

Ph.D Thesis of Dr. Allen Keith Jones

This is Ph. D Thesis of Dr. Allen Keith Jones, who got degree from Duke University on the topic of “Muslim Politics and the growth of the Muslim League in Sindh, 1935-1941”. It has been published in book form and is available in Google search, but not as complete book. However, typed copy of the complete Thesis is available in Gul Hayat Library.

Dr. Allen K. Jones have covered seven years of Sindh Politics. Thesis contains 7 Chapters and Muslim League experiments with power has been discussed scholarly. Researcher has also thrown light on working of first two ministries with special reference to Masjid Manzilgah issue. (Mumtaz Pathan)

1936 ۾ سنڌ کي صوبي جو درجو مليو تہ هتي نئين سر سياسي صفبندي ٿيڻ شروع ٿي. سنڌي مسلمان سياستدانن اتحاد/يونائٽيڊ پارٽيءَ ۽ مسلم پوليٽيڪل پارٽيءَ جي نالي سان پارٽيون ٺاهيون پر پوءِ مسلم ليگ کي پنهنجو سياسي مرڪز بڻايائون. ابتدائي ستن سالن ۾ سنڌ جي سياست ۾ وڏو ڦيرو آيو. صوبائي مسلم ليگ 1938 ۾ وڏي ڪانفرس ڪوٺائي.1939 ۾ مسجد منزلگاه تحريڪ هلي ۽ ٻہ منسٽريون قائم ٿيون. ڊاڪٽر ايلن جونز 1935 کان 1941 واري سياست تي ڊاڪٽوريٽ ڪئي. سندس هيءَ ٿيسز ڪتاب جي صورت ۾ شايع ٿي چڪي آھي. گل حيات ۾ ان جي اصل ڪاپيءَ جي فوٽو اسٽيٽ ڪاپي موجود آھي.
